This app is a product of the Svampeatlas 2.0 initiative—a collaborative project involving the Center for Macroecology, Evolution and Climate (CMEC) at the Natural History Museum of Denmark (SNM, University of Copenhagen), the Danish Mycological Society, and MycoKey. The project team includes notable figures such as Tobias Guldberg Frøslev, Thomas Stjernegaard Jeppesen, Thomas Læssøe (SNM), and Jens H. Petersen with Jacob Heilmann-Clausen serving as project leader.
The web portal can be accessed at: www.svampe.databasen.org.
Please be aware that the application may request permission to access your location to facilitate the reporting of sightings and to identify observations in your vicinity. While GPS use may impact battery life, your location data is secure and only shared with Fungal Atlas when submitting an observation.
It is essential to note that while the automatic image recognition technology aims for accuracy, it cannot guarantee precise identifications. Users should consult with experts before relying on these suggestions for edibility. Danmarks Svampeatlas (Fungal Atlas) and Noque ApS disclaim any responsibility for poisoning or other adverse health effects resulting from misidentification.
